Welcome to the world of metallurgy® - the process of printing fine art images directly to metal!
The process involves printing direct to metal on a roll using conventional water based ink jet printers, such as the Epson, HP or Canon range. Stunning, full colour results offer exciting new opportunities for signage and fine art reproduction.
Metallurgy fine art metal on a roll is quick and easy to use. Simply load the media in the same way as you would load a roll of photo paper. The mirror side has an optically clear inkjet surface designed to take water based inks. We test in-house using Epson machines using K3 inks.
For the best results, we suggest you print at 1440dpi but the surface will hold a 2880dpi image. Handle this media carefully. Metal shows up finger marks so we suggest you use cotton gloves when you handle the media. After printing, allow to fully dry. Apply a laminate or use our Metallurgy fixing spray to enhance the surface and protect the inks. You can cut the media with a blade, scissors or paper cutter. All our products come with an adhesive backing system making it easy to mount onto plastic, paper, metal or foam display boards.
Spray Laminate £19.99
Our spray laminate is only available for UK customers due to overseas shipping restrictions.
